Our online calendar of events shows the days and locations when we meet for meditation as well as dates of upcoming programs, classes, nyinthuns, and Shambhala cafés. Visit our Local Events page for more details about specific programs and events.

Upcoming events include a free public talk, "Disentangling the Tangle," at local public libraries, January 16-17, and the weekend program "Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human" on January 26-27. On January 30, we will begin a new series of classes on Wednesday nights in Cleveland with "How to Meditate: The Practice of Calm Abiding."

Welcome to the Cleveland, Ohio Shambhala Meditation Group web site!

The Cleveland Shambhala Meditation Group is affiliated with Shambhala International, a group of meditation centers founded by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche.

We are pleased to announce that we have our own space in downtown Cleveland! Cleveland meetings are now held at the new location. If you have questions, please contact us for the most up to date information.

Weekly Programs and Meditation Instruction

We invite you to our regular weekly programs on Tuesday evenings in the Cleveland area and on Thursday evenings in Akron. If you would like to find out more about us, you are warmly invited to our open house talks and classes. Meditation instruction is also available for no charge during the regular weekly programs.

We offer meditation instruction by authorized senior students, practice and study, contemplative arts programs, and an open and friendly community engaged in the life long process of discovering who we are.

Classes and Events

We offer classes in Buddhist studies, Shambhala Training, Nalanda Arts, including Miksang photography, and community events. You can find more information on our Local Events page.
