Room: Lakewood Center

This is the first of three workshops working with The Lost Art of Good Conversation, the newest book by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.  The Lost Art of Good Conversation is a journey to help us get back to the basics – to a life in which we are fully present and connected to ourselves and others. Using the principles of the Shambhala tradition – meditation and a sincere belief in the inherent wisdom, compassion, and courage of all beings – Sakyong Mipham, the current lineage holder of Shambhala, explains to readers how to listen and speak more mindfully and effectively to loved ones, coworkers, strangers, and even ourselves.

Seating is limited to 30 people.  Register early!

Working with Ourselves:  In this first workshop, we will examine how we talk to ourselves and explore how we can treat ourselves with kindness, love and respect.

Format of the workshop:  We will use video teachings by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, guided meditation instruction, “dialogues” to practice with each other, and questions and discussion.  Lunch will be provided.
