November 11th (2018)

    Room: Lakewood Center

Early in the life of the Buddhist community, disagreement arose regarding the proper focus and form of Buddhist practice. Out of this division arose the Theravadin and Mahayana traditions. This session will examine the insights that lead to the formation of the Mahayana school, and how the realizations of those past masters inform our community in the present day.
This talk follows open public  meditation at 10 am.  You may join us for that (free meditation instruction!) or just come to this talk.  There is no formal fee for either although we gratefully accept donations of any amount.
