Tuesday public meditation (shamatha)

    Open to all, including new meditators.

    Sitting and walking meditation from 7:00-8:00, includes opening and closing English-language chants.  Meditation cushions are provided although you may bring your own if you have a favorite.  Chairs are available for those whose physical needs require one.

    From 8:00-9:00 is a book discussion, dharma talk, or general discussion about meditation practice.

    If you are new:  Please arrive by 7 pm.  An authorized instructor will give you meditation instruction before you join the main group.  Wear loose, comfortable clothing that will allow you to sit cross-legged on a cushion on the floor.

    There is no formal charge for open meditation and donations are gratefully accepted.
