Winter Festival

December 22nd

Date details +
    Room: Lakewood Center
One of our traditional Shambhala holidays is Midwinter.  Generally held near the winter solstice when the days are shortest, this day celebrates the turning of the season back to lengthening days, and the return of light.   At midwinter, Shambhala tradition celebrates the beauty of our children and the child in all of us and basks in the warmth of family, including our sangha family.

We invite you to join us for this year's celebration on December 22 at 11 a.m

To celebrate our inner children, we'll start with a White Elephant gift exchange.  If you're unsure what this means, simply
    1. Find something around your house that you haven’t used in a long time, have been meaning to get rid of, or are willing to let go of.  It can be funny, weird, or nice, but not expensive.  Ideally, it should cost you nothing!
    2. Wrap it up.
    3. Bring it to the Center with you on December 10.

    We'll take it from there!

Following that, we'll have a potluck and enjoy each other's company (and funny, weird, or nice gifts).

Everyone is invited!  Bring your goofy gifts, yummy potluck offering, and warm heart, and join us for this holiday.
